The Harendra Pandey Global Foundation is a heartfelt tribute to the extraordinary valor and sacrifice of Balidani Naik Harendra Pandey, SM, a proud soldier of the Indian Army and a recipient of the Gallantry Award — Sena Medal, awarded posthumously by the President of India.

On 18th September 2010, during a daring counter-terrorist operation in the dense Panar Forests of Bandipura, Jammu & Kashmir, Balidani Naik Harendra Pandey, SM displayed unmatched courage. As the leading scout of a Search and Destroy party, he crawled through thick undergrowth, fearlessly closing in on hostile elements.
 In a fierce encounter, he injured and immobilized a terrorist, neutralizing a grave threat to his team.
 In this brave act of valor, Balidani Naik Harendra Pandey, SM laid down his life, upholding the highest traditions of the Indian Army: Duty, Honor, Sacrifice.
